《死灵幻象之迷失连队》包含一些全新关卡、角色、武器以及游戏操作元素，并且拥有一个新的主角，玩家将从战争的另一阵营来体验游戏的恐怖。这一次，玩家扮演的主角是德军的一名士兵，他偶然发现了由战争产生的恶魔军团，并且开始与恶魔军团交战。最终，玩家将成为一名死灵巫师，与Simon Bukner争斗到底。
